Teaching

İzem is a member of the piano faculty at La Maison School of Music in New York City, where she has taught since March 2026, and served as a Teaching Assistant in the piano department of Stony Brook University from 2023 to 2025. Her teaching draws on the traditions she was formed in — the Bashkirov school's insistence on sound and honesty, and a chamber musician's conviction that listening comes before playing.

She welcomes inquiries from students of all levels — in person in New York or online — in English, Turkish, and Spanish.
